He is the God in the Machine, the Source of All Knowledge: Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II to be Released by the End of May
One of the main features of the game will be two full-fledged story campaigns for different sides of the conflict.
Publisher Kasedo Games and developer Bulwark Studios have announced the release date for the turn-based strategy game Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II. The game will be released on May 21 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on Steam and Epic Games Store.
The sequel's plot will continue the confrontation between the Adeptus Mechanicus and the ancient Necron race in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. After a thousand-year slumber, Vargard Nefershah raises the legions of his dynasty to destroy the Tech-Priests who have established themselves on his world. In response, Magos Dominus Faustinius re-enters the fray, attempting to halt the awakening of the Necrons.
One of the main features of the game will be two full-fledged story campaigns for different sides of the conflict. Players will be offered a choice between the Adeptus Mechanicus and the Necrons — each faction will receive a unique combat style, its own mechanics, and troop sets.
Battles will again be in the format of turn-based tactics, but the developers promise expanded opportunities for interaction with the environment. The Mechanicus will be able to use cover and terrain features, while the Necrons will have the ability to destroy map elements and change the battlefield to suit their needs.
In addition to tactical missions, the game will feature a global strategic map. Players will have to capture and hold territories, manage resources, and develop garrisons. For each side, commanders can be customized: upgrading Mechanicus Tech-Priests or assembling their own court of Necron nobility.
