Filming of "Minecraft in Cinema 2" has begun - Kirsten Dunst shared photos from the set
The sequel to one of the highest-grossing video game movies has already gone into production.
Kirsten Dunst announced the start of filming for "Minecraft in Cinema 2". The actress posted a photo of chairs with the names of characters Steve and Alex and the caption: "It all began."
Jack Black will return to his role as Steve in the sequel, and Kirsten Dunst will play Alex. After the success of the first film, which grossed $961 million worldwide, the actress said she would like to star in the sequel: her children liked the film, and Dunst herself wants to work on a film "on which she won't lose money". Judging by the success of the first film, there is every chance of that.
Jared Hess is once again directing the sequel. Hess himself and Chris Galletta are writing the screenplay. The film is scheduled to premiere on July 23, 2027. Jason Momoa, Danielle Brooks, Matt Berry, and Jennifer Coolidge will also return to their roles.
