The Sims 4 competitor to be released on PlayStation 5 - inZOI developers adapt the game for Sony console
The developers understand the demands of the console audience and are taking them into account when developing the new version of the game.
The game director of the life simulator inZOI has published a new blog post. Kjun spoke about the work on the PlayStation 5 version.
He said that after studying the audience, the developers decided to change their approach to working on the console version of inZOI:
On PC, we released an unfinished early access version to get player feedback throughout the development process and improve the game [...] Initially, we expected to use a similar approach for the console version. However, after a closer look at the audience and platform specifics, we realized that console players' expectations are often different. Typically, console users are accustomed to receiving a more complete and polished product from the start, without major issues.
Currently, the inZOI developers are "focused on maximizing the improvement of all aspects of the yet-to-be-released PS5 version." They do not want to simply port the PC version to the console "one-to-one," but intend to make the gameplay feel natural and fully adapted for console players. Also, taking into account console specifics, the interface, controls, and other aspects of the game are being refined.
The release of inZOI on PlayStation 5 is currently scheduled for the first half of 2027.
