Jon Favreau told GamesRadar+ that he has "many plans" for the future of Din Djarin and Grogu after "The Mandalorian & Grogu" film. The director particularly highlighted Grogu: the character is simultaneously on the path of a Jedi and a Mandalorian, belongs to a long-lived species, and opens up a wide scope for further stories.
"Creatively, I have a lot of plans and a lot of thoughts about these characters, especially Grogu. Grogu belongs to a species that lives for centuries. He is on a path where he can become both a Jedi and a Mandalorian. He makes choices, makes decisions, and now he has a great teacher. As he grows, opportunities for new stories will emerge."
So far, Lucasfilm has not officially confirmed new projects involving Din Djarin and Grogu after "The Mandalorian & Grogu". Their future largely depends on the success of the film, which will be released on May 22, 2026, but initial reviews and box office predictions do not yet allow us to speak of a guaranteed hit.
