Almost eight years after its announcement, Tormentum II finally gets a release date

The dark quest Tormentum II, announced back in 2018, will be released on July 23 for PC.

The authors explained the long wait by the scale of work on the game's visual part. Tormentum II will have more than 150 locations, and each of them, according to the developers, was "hand-drawn — years of work, stroke by stroke." Amidst ongoing discussions about the use of generative AI in the gaming industry, the developers specifically emphasize that they are relying on manual artistic labor.

The plot of Tormentum II tells the story of a game developer who wakes up inside the dark and surreal world he created. However, the hero soon realizes that this place is inhabited by creatures he never created.
