Weta Workshop has announced a limited 1/6 scale statue "Sméagol and Déagol: A Shadow of the Past." Pre-orders for this collectible, dedicated to the Lord of the Rings universe, will open on May 27, 2026.

The new item, made of polystone, polyurethane, and metal, is 34 cm high, 35 cm wide, 25 cm deep, and weighs 7 kg.

Above the water, Sméagol and Déagol float in a small boat, enjoying casual conversation and the simple joy of their day's catch. Beneath them, an unseen story unfolds. A large fish tugs at the line, drawing the eye downwards, through the clear acrylic surface that serves as the boundary of the river's surface.

There, half-buried in the silt, the One Ring rests in silence. The two-tiered composition is a conscious design choice. The transparent resin layer serves as both a separation and a connection for the scene.

Sméagol is depicted as he was before acquiring the One Ring. Andy Serkis's likeness is carefully recreated in this earlier, softer image, offering a rare opportunity to see the character untouched by the influence that would later define his fate.

The statue is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2027.
