In an interview with SFX magazine, "Masters of the Universe" director Travis Knight confirmed that She-Ra, He-Man's twin sister, could play a significant role in a potential sequel if Amazon MGM greenlights the continuation.
"For me, She-Ra has always been an important part of this world and Prince Adam's story. If we are lucky enough to tell more stories in this universe, She-Ra will play a huge role in them."
However, the director chose to maintain intrigue and did not say whether to expect a short cameo or a mention of Princess Adora in the first part, which will be released worldwide on June 5, 2026. According to Knight, the team had "endless discussions" around the character, and during the final editing process, a significant portion of the material was cut from the film.
Knight admitted that several large-scale scenes he really liked had to be cut from "Masters of the Universe." The director hopes that viewers will someday be able to see them, for example, in a director's cut.
She-Ra debuted on screen in 1985 in the animated film "He-Man and She-Ra: The Secret of the Sword," after which she received her own spin-off. In parallel with the feature film "Masters of the Universe," Prime Video is developing a separate live-action series about She-Ra. Heidi Schreck ("Billions") serves as the showrunner for the project.
