A major expansion with a mystical world boss is being prepared for Where Winds Meet
The developers of Where Winds Meet have unveiled a new trailer for the expansion The Imperial Palace, showcasing the world boss Gilded Lament. The expansion will be released on May 28 for PS5, PC, iOS, and Android.
The Imperial Palace will be a major expansion for the free-to-play action-RPG. The developers promise a huge area to explore, thousands of NPCs, and new activities. But beyond the palace, players will find a dark world with hostile creatures.
The main threat in the new trailer was Gilded Lament — a ghostly woman endlessly composing poetry. In the video, she utters the phrase: “The last verse is for no one.”
During combat, the boss uses scrolls with texts as weapons, and also transforms into pure energy and crashes to the ground, dealing area damage. The developers did not fully reveal the enemy's abilities.
Everstone Studio also confirmed summer updates for the game. Where Winds Meet will add new weapons — gloves, custom housing, animal companions, and a five-player co-op mode.
