Escape from Tarkov adds "Icebreaker" and simplifies item search in raid - update 1.0.5.0 released
The developers have added a new map where players will encounter many AI enemies.
In late May, the creators of Escape from Tarkov released update 1.0.5.0. It adds a lot of new content to the game.
The developers invite players to visit the "Icebreaker" - a separate location designed for 1-3 users (the map is available in all game modes).
Players will have to face AI opponents alone or as part of a group. It is not possible to encounter random players on the "Icebreaker":
How did Paradigm Shipping's icebreaker get trapped in the Tarkov blockade? What happened to its crew? Who is behind it? You will have to find out all this by completing a new story chapter during an expedition focused on exploration and PvE experience. And if answers alone are not enough for you - the loot will also be worth it.
Also, a mechanic has appeared in Escape from Tarkov that will simplify item searching. The developers teased it a few weeks ago - a special indicator will tell you that the player is near the desired item:
Added a mechanic to assist in searching for quest items in a raid: players will see an extended directional indicator for searching when approaching the spawn location of a quest item;
