Total Sales of Dragon Quest HD-2D Remakes Exceed 4 Million Copies

Square Enix reported a new commercial success for the updated classics on PC and consoles.

Square Enix announced that the total circulation of HD-2D remakes of the classic Dragon Quest trilogy has exceeded 4 million copies worldwide. This figure includes physical shipments to stores and digital sales of Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, released in November 2024, and the Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake collection, which hit shelves in late October 2025.

Currently, the updated trilogy is available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2.
