Came to its senses: Capcom unexpectedly released a demo for Resident Evil Requiem

Three months after the full release of Resident Evil Requiem, Capcom unexpectedly released a demo version of the game. The trial version is already available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, Steam, and Epic Games Store.

Players will be able to complete some of the early stages of the campaign, but save data cannot be transferred to the main game.

Resident Evil Requiem has become one of Capcom's biggest successes in recent years. The game received high critical acclaim and excellent sales, and also became the fastest-selling installment in the series' more than 30-year history. Less than two months after its release, sales exceeded 7 million copies. Additionally, earlier this month, Capcom announced that Requiem's success helped the company record its ninth consecutive year of record profits.
