The company continues to fight creativity.

Take-Two Interactive has issued a cease and desist order to the creators of RageMP — one of the largest platforms for GTA 5 multiplayer modifications. As a result, the service will completely cease operations on August 31, 2026.

The shutdown was announced on the official RageMP website. The project team stated that the reason was Take-Two's policy after Rockstar Games acquired the Cfx.re platform in 2023. At that time, FiveM and RedM officially became part of the Rockstar ecosystem, and FiveM became the only authorized platform for GTA 5 multiplayer modding.

The RageMP shutdown process will occur in several stages. The first has already begun: users can no longer create new servers, and access to server tools has already been terminated. Server owners are advised to migrate their projects to FiveM — RageMP developers have promised to provide support during migration.

The next stage will begin on June 1, 2026. On this day, the public server list will be disabled, which means administrators need to log in beforehand and ensure their servers continue to function.

The final shutdown of RageMP will take place on August 31, 2026. After this date, the platform will no longer be supported, all community servers will be closed, and the RageMP client, server tools, and all internal service infrastructure will become unavailable.

RageMP has long remained one of FiveM's main competitors in the field of GTA 5 RP and custom multiplayer modifications. The platform's shutdown effectively strengthens FiveM's monopolistic position.
