Michael Kamm, the developer of the indie puzzle game Ouros, has accused MiHoYo, also known as HoYoverse, of copying his project for Zenless Zone Zero. As proof, Kamm published a comparative video demonstrating the similarity in gameplay and design.

A similar mini-game appeared in Zenless Zone Zero back in 2025, but Kamm was forced to speak publicly about the situation due to accusations from players themselves. Due to HoYoverse's immense popularity, users began to massively write to the developer, claiming that he had allegedly stolen the idea from ZZZ.

Some users tried to defend HoYoverse, pointing out that Ouros itself resembles the 2023 browser game Primo. However, Kamm countered this by explaining that Primo was created based on his own project Splines 'n Shapes, which he presented at the Ludum Dare jam back in 2020.

This is the second similar scandal for HoYoverse in recent months. In April, Pipapo Games studio made similar accusations, stating that the Chinese company copied their unreleased cartographic indie game Map Map for one of the events in Genshin Impact.
