Path of Exile 2's Return of the Ancients Update Will Simplify Item Valuation and Endgame Planning
The developers shared details of the interface changes in update 0.5, which will be released today.
Grinding Gear Games will add one of the most requested features to Path of Exile 2 — quick item price checking. Now, by pressing Shift + Alt + Left Click on an item in the inventory, a built-in trade market search will open with all the necessary filters. If desired, individual affixes can be manually disabled for more accurate price comparison.
The endgame interface will also be updated. A text filter will appear on the Atlas map: when a query is entered, the screen darkens, and the desired locations are highlighted by name, biome, bosses, or modifiers.
To store rewards, the premium fragment tab from the first game will be transferred to the game, which will automatically become available to its owners. It holds 54 pages for league tablets, as well as slots for boss keys, Djinn Barias, and Ultimatum. In addition, the developers will expand the socket tab, allocating separate pages for Kalguur runes, idols, soul cores, and ancient augmentations.
The launch of the "Runes of Aldur" league and update 0.5 Return of the Ancients will take place today, May 29, at 23:00 Moscow time. From this day until June 1, Path of Exile 2 will be available to play for free, and all accumulated progress will be transferred to the paid early access version.
According to game director Jonathan Rogers, this is the last major update before the full release of version 1.0, which is scheduled for late 2026 after the ExileCon festival.
