All for the Boyars: PC will be the main platform for Modern Warfare 4, announced Infinity Ward
The game will not be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles at all.
After the debut of the first trailer, the developers from Infinity Ward shared a lot of details about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, focusing on technical improvements and the capabilities of new platforms.
Infinity Ward also announced a significant leap in graphics thanks to an updated engine. The game has improved visual effects, lighting, materials, and character detail. The developers specifically noted more realistic explosions, smoke, atmospheric effects, and animations compared to previous Call of Duty installments.
Special attention is paid to the PC version, which Infinity Ward is working on in conjunction with Beenox studio. At launch, the game will support NVIDIA DLSS 4.5, as well as other upscaling and frame generation technologies. The developers promise a wide range of graphics settings and special presets for competitive play, focused on maximum performance.
At the same time, owners of powerful PCs will be able to use extended ray tracing in all modes – including campaign, multiplayer, and DMZ. Supported effects include ray-traced reflections, ambient occlusion, and improved shadows, as well as higher quality visual effects and volumetric lighting compared to console versions.
