The company has registered a new trademark.

Activision has registered a new trademark for the Crash Bandicoot franchise, and it may hint at the company's plans beyond the gaming industry. The documents mention "feature films" and "television series," indicating the publisher's potential interest in film, television, or animated projects based on the series.

The registration itself covers a wide range of entertainment areas and will be valid until 2035. While such trademarks are not direct confirmation of a specific project's development, they often serve as an early signal of a company's long-term plans.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Crash Bandicoot has been linked to television. Late last year, rumors surfaced online about an animated series being created for Netflix. According to insiders, the project was allegedly being handled by WildBrain Studios, known for their work on Sonic Prime.

However, after the initial reports, no new information about the series emerged, and the project virtually disappeared from public discussion. Now, the fresh trademark registration has reignited rumors that a Crash Bandicoot adaptation may still be in development. Especially since Activision would hardly register such broad rights without intending to at least explore potential opportunities for franchise development.
