The project is being developed for PC. Release dates are not yet known.
A city-building survival strategy game set in a high-tech future, XIRI: Oasis Cities, has been announced for PC. The project is being developed by a small indie team from Russia.
In XIRI: Oasis Cities, players will manage a high-tech city in a future world where humanity has survived a global collapse, and artificial intelligence continues to shape the development of civilization.
The settlement will be under constant threat from natural disasters, cyberattacks, espionage, diseases, and growing citizen discontent. The manager will have to monitor the stability of various systems and make decisions that can affect not only their own city but also the entire surrounding region.
Corporations will play an important role in the development of the settlement. Players will be able to influence regional markets and prices, enhance corporate competencies, and unlock new opportunities. However, economic confrontation will not be limited to trade: in XIRI, disinformation and corporate espionage can also be used.
The city's infrastructure will feature futuristic technologies appropriate to the setting. In particular, players will be able to create drone chains for power transmission, install lightning rods to protect critical facilities, and use protective drone barriers. These systems should help maintain the operability of production and other infrastructure during natural disasters.
