According to Final Fantasy game director Naoki Hamaguchi, Square Enix is exploring options for collaborations between the Final Fantasy series and other game universes, including Fortnite, but is not yet ready to make any promises.
Leading up to the release of Final Fantasy VII Revelation, we are considering collaboration opportunities with various franchises. Our collaboration with Street Fighter is one of the first steps in that direction. As for Fortnite, I don't want to make any promises yet.
