Creators of the closed server Turtle WoW founded Moonwhisper Games studio to develop their own MMORPG

Former developers of the unofficial Turtle WoW servers, which completely ceased operations on May 15 as part of a legal settlement with Blizzard, have decided on their future plans. The team decided to stay in the genre and founded the independent studio Moonwhisper Games to create their own MMORPG.

In an address to the community, one of the developers, Jamey, admitted that creating a new online game from scratch is a huge challenge, requiring significant time and financial investment. Nevertheless, the team is not starting from scratch: over the years of supporting Turtle WoW, the authors have accumulated extensive experience in content creation, game world management, and working with a large community.

At the current stage, Moonwhisper Games is focused on the basic elements of production – developing the universe, writing lore, and forming the key pillars of gameplay. Details about the game are not yet available, but it will definitely feature dragons.
