After the mixed reception of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which drew a lot of criticism from the community and, according to insiders, prompted Activision to abandon the practice of releasing two games from the same sub-series in a row, players' attention is gradually shifting to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. And although the new installment has not yet proven its superiority, some changes already look promising.

The Modern Warfare 4 story campaign will be fully available in offline mode. Earlier, the developers confirmed the abandonment of the cooperative format in favor of an exclusively single-player playthrough. Thanks to this, players will not have to worry about the stability of the internet connection or the possible shutdown of servers in the future.

Another important improvement will be a change in the update system. Infinity Ward is working to eliminate the need for a full game restart after each patch. Although major updates may still require restarting the client, the developers aim to minimize such cases, which should make using the game significantly more comfortable.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will be released on October 23 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
