Now you can look at what's happening on the battlefield from a different angle.

Recently, Door 407 studio released a "big, long" update for the real-time strategy game Diplomacy is Not an Option. One new feature, which was teased several weeks ago, has been added to the game.

Players were offered the ability to directly control troops in Diplomacy is Not an Option:

This is a fun option that allows you to inhabit any warrior you can recruit and control them as if you were playing an action game. You also have access to warrior abilities, as well as shooting from towers and walls.

The developers said that they were able to transfer "most skills into third-person mode." Some skills turned out to be incompatible with this game mode due to their "inherent strategic nature."

In addition, the creators of Diplomacy is Not an Option, "based on voting results," brought back the pikeman icon, and also fixed several errors in localization and the map editor:

  • Fixed a bug in the Map Editor with repeating attack waves, due to which all enemies on the map joined the last attack before the start of repeating attack waves;
  • Fixed a bug in the Map Editor where the first turn of an enemy building when placed was in the opposite direction (for example, pressing [E] turned the building left instead of right, and vice versa);
