"Best Soundtrack from the Entire Summer Game Fest": Mick Gordon Writes Music for Mech-Action Game Gundam Rogue Orbit
The participation of the famous composer attracted attention to the project even from those who are usually indifferent to mechs.
The announcement of the large-scale mech-action game Gundam Rogue Orbit from Bandai Namco attracted fans' attention not only with its visuals but also with powerful guitar riffs in the trailer. The suspicions were confirmed: composer Mick Gordon, known for soundtracks to DOOM, Wolfenstein, and Atomic Heart, reposted the debut video on social media, effectively confirming his participation in the project.
Gordon's fans quickly filled the comments. Many admitted that they recognized his signature style from the first seconds of the trailer:
"Best soundtrack from the entire Summer Game Fest! When asked 'who wrote the music for Gundam?', I immediately thought: of course, it's Mr. Gordon. It's that feeling when you had a hunch but weren't sure, and in the end, you were right."
"When I first watched the trailer, I told my friends: 'I don't know why, but this reminds me of DOOM.' Now I know why."
"If Mick is writing the music, I'm definitely buying this game. Personally, I don't need any other reason."
Gundam Rogue Orbit is scheduled for release in 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
