To replace Battlefield: gameplay of the tactical shooter Wardogs with 100-player matches shown
The game has already accumulated over 500,000 wishlists on Steam.
At the Future Games Show Summer Showcase, British studio Bulkhead, in collaboration with publisher Team17, unveiled the first gameplay trailer for the large-scale online tactical shooter Wardogs.
The developers emphasized that Wardogs is neither a battle royale nor an extraction shooter. The project offers large-scale battles for 100 players: players are divided into three teams fighting for control over a randomly generated zone. The gameplay combines positional firefights between infantry of different classes, building elements, destructibility, and active use of vehicles, including helicopters and armored personnel carriers.
Any useful actions — capturing points, killing enemies, transporting allies, or reviving them — earn in-game currency. Before each respawn, players use this currency to purchase custom weapons, equipment, and call in combat vehicles.
Wardogs' early access release on Steam is scheduled for late summer 2026. Currently, the developers are collecting applications for a large-scale closed playtest on the official website of the game.
