Nintendo to Hold First Full Direct Presentation in Nine Months This Week

It is not yet known which games will be featured during the broadcast.

Nintendo has officially announced a new Nintendo Direct presentation. The broadcast will take place on June 9 at 5:00 PM Moscow time.

The upcoming broadcast will be the first major general Nintendo Direct presentation in the last nine months. The previous edition took place in September 2025 and was dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. series. Since then, the company has held nine more presentations, but all of them were dedicated to specific areas — Partner Showcase, Indie World, Pokémon Presents, or specific projects such as Kirby Air Riders, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, Star Fox, and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

Nintendo has not yet revealed the list of games that will be shown during the broadcast. Among the already confirmed projects are Rhythm Heaven Groove for the original Nintendo Switch, scheduled for release on July 2, as well as several games for Switch 2: Star Fox will be released on June 25, Splatoon Raiders on July 23, and Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is planned for the end of the year.

In recent years, Nintendo has increasingly used the Nintendo Today app for announcements, so some news bypasses traditional Direct presentations.
