MAPPA studio was involved in creating the animations, and the anime's screenwriter prepared alternative "what if?" stories.

GOOD SMILE COMPANY announced the international release date for Jigokuraku: BATTLE IN HELL’S PARADISE — a JRPG with turn-based tactical battles, previously only available on mobile devices in Japan. The game will be released on iOS, Android, and PC via Steam on July 1, 2026.

The project is being developed in collaboration with the creators of the original anime series. MAPPA studio is responsible for the battle animations and cutscenes, while Akira Kindaichi, the main screenwriter of the anime adaptation, is responsible for the script. In addition to retelling the key events of the original source, the game will offer fully voiced companion stories, alternative "what if?" scenarios, and new story arcs.

Players will have to assemble a team of dangerous criminals and their executioners, including Gabimaru, Yuzuriha, and Sagiri, and travel to the mysterious island of Shinsengyo. There, the heroes will fight grotesque monsters and immortal Tensen lords, using canonical techniques: ninjutsu, Itto-ryu style, and the power of Dao.

In addition, the developers will add a cooperative mode and five new characters created specifically for the game: Yori, Yaichiro, Sasu, Zaka, and Kakutan.

The game will also feature a unique dialogue system. Depending on the group composition, the characters will engage in special conversations that were not present in either the manga or the anime. The entire original cast of Japanese voice actors has returned for the voice-over.
