Is Kena: Scars of Kosmora in trouble? The game wasn't shown at any summer events
The premiere of Kena: Scars of Kosmora, scheduled for 2026 for PS5 and PC, is now in question. After its announcement at the February State of Play, developers at Ember Lab have not shared any news about the game, and its absence from summer gaming presentations has fueled rumors of a possible delay.
When Ember Lab studio presented the sequel to the fairy-tale adventure Kena: Scars of Kosmora in February, the news was met with great enthusiasm. At the time, Sony announced that the game would be released on PS5 and PC in 2026.
The summer season of gaming presentations, which many consider an unofficial replacement for E3, has become a cause for concern. No new material for Kena: Scars of Kosmora was shown at any major shows. Against this backdrop, players began discussing the possibility of a delay.
The situation is complicated by a busy release schedule. In September alone, 6-7 major AAA projects are expected, and October promises to be just as packed. In November, market attention will likely shift to Grand Theft Auto VI, a competition many publishers prefer to avoid.
Further questions arise from Ember Lab's social media activity. The studio continues to post messages on X, but under each post, dozens of questions appear from fans asking for a release date or confirmation that the release is still planned for 2026.
