Pre-registration has already started on the App Store and Google Play.

The city-building simulator Dawnfolk is officially coming to mobile devices. The project's release on iOS and Android is scheduled for August 3, 2026, and pre-registration is already open on the App Store and Google Play.

According to information in digital stores, the mobile version will be distributed under a free-to-play model. Players will likely be offered a free trial of some content, and then they can purchase the full version or unlock new stages by watching ads. A pleasant bonus for domestic players will be support for the Russian language.

Dawnfolk was originally released on PC via Steam in February 2025. The project quickly found its small but dedicated audience and received 94% positive reviews based on over 600 user reviews.

Dawnfolk was created by solo developer Darenn Keller, who worked at Ubisoft on the Ghost Recon and Assassin's Creed franchises until 2022. Keller himself describes the game as a "dark but cute" city-building simulator with elements of survival, tile-based puzzles, and strategy. Players, as a fallen ruler, must reclaim lands from the darkness that has engulfed the world. Classic management is complemented by light RPG elements and decisions that affect the fate of the settlers.
