Despite devastating criticism of the second season, the football anime will get a continuation.

As part of the Blue Lock Day celebration in Japan, the creators officially announced the third season of the anime "Blue Lock". The new chapter is subtitled "Neo-Egoist League". The authors also showed posters of the main character Yoichi Isagi and his new rival – German genius Michael Kaiser.

"Kaiser is part of the 'New Generation XI' – the eleven best young players in the world. He is absolutely confident in his talent and possesses a fierce 'ego' with which he mercilessly looks down on weaker opponents."

Many fans were worried about the project after the second season, which was criticized for its static picture and compared to a PowerPoint presentation. The problems were attributed to tight deadlines, so now fans of the series hope that the authors will be given more time to produce the continuation.

One thing is clear: the producers do not plan to slow down the pace of franchise development. In parallel with the anime, a live-action feature film is in development, which will premiere on August 7, 2026, in Japanese cinemas. The release dates for the third season and plans for the international distribution of the film have not yet been disclosed.
