In June, Triple Espresso studio announced the release of Copa City. The developers of the economic strategy offer a different perspective on football events – from the point of view of those who organize them.
They position their project as the “first game” where you don't have to be a coach or a player, but an organizer of major football events:
Many games offer you to lead your favorite clubs to glory on the field. It's time to look at the world of football from a completely different angle! COPA CITY presents a completely new dimension of sports games – organizing major football events. Take control of the city and everything that happens off the field. Create infrastructure, manage logistics, and turn every match into a real celebration long before the kick-off.
In Copa City, players will have to work with different locations: cities vary in the number and nature of districts, transport system, and cultural characteristics – all these aspects need to be taken into account during the game.
The developers will offer to create infrastructure systems, develop urban transport, connect districts, and transform locations into “fan zones” inspired by and modeled after real sports events.
The Copa City page on Steam is available at the following link. The game is also available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
