(18+) A parody mod for Half-Life 2 with Russian voice acting in the style of amateur 90s translations will be released on Steam
In KAYF-LIFE: Complete Edition, modders offer an alternative take on the Half-Life 2 story.
Recently, modders Antinomy Collective announced the upcoming release of the KAYF-LIFE: Complete Edition project on Steam. This is a specific modification for Half-Life 2, positioned as “a parody with alternative voice acting, made in the spirit of Russian amateur film translations popular in the 90s and at the turn of the century.”
The events unfold in the second half of the 21st century in a world where a financial, cultural, and nuclear catastrophe occurred, as a result of which one half of the planet perished, and the other plunged into the abyss of posthumanism. The self-taught doctor Fyodor Brun'kov tries to save humanity through progressive medicine:
He transformed the entire infrastructure into a huge network of colonies and sanatoriums. We are to visit one of these colonies... Welcome to Bobruysk 17 - a huge health and educational colony for alcoholics and psychopaths of all stripes!
The main character Georgy Fridman, a former patient of the colony, was hired to eliminate Dr. Brun'kov:
You will find yourself in the role of Zhorik and return to the colony to complete a task from a mysterious stranger. Of course, with the help of friends - pirates, mutabols, and paratroopers! In the course of completing the murky assignment from the stranger, you will have to find out that in the new world, everything is not as simple as it seems...

The modification is scheduled for release on July 31, 2026, but a test version of the project is already available on ModDB.
