Battlefield 6 developers have published a new diary dedicated to the final phase of the third season. They are preparing technical fixes, balance changes, and a new mechanic in the spirit of Field Orders from another shooter, Call of Duty: Ghosts.
They will introduce the “Wet Work” event, during which players will be able to pick up contracts dropped by defeated enemies. Tasks range from destroying enemies and collecting loot from chests to capturing objectives or surviving. Contracts will be available in regular multiplayer and the REDSEC battle royale. Details of the system are promised to be revealed later.
An interface update is also being prepared for Battlefield 6 – it will be possible to mark all items as “viewed” with one key press to remove the “orange dots” notifying of new items. The function will work in the gear section, store, battle pass, profile, etc.
In addition, the developers will add Tactical Obliteration to the shooter – a more compact version of the “Obliteration” mode, focused on infantry battles. Improvements to shooting mechanics, soldier visibility, and netcode are also planned.
The Battlefield 6 developer diary is available at the following link. The update release is scheduled for June 30.
