Jake Sully actor Sam Worthington stated that "Avatar 4" will be the most radical change for the franchise in its entire existence.

The latest installment of the saga, "Avatar: Fire and Ash," was released in December 2025 and grossed over $1.48 billion. This is a high result, but the two previous films each surpassed the $2 billion mark, raising questions about the future of the franchise.

Despite this, James Cameron still plans to release five films. The scripts for the fourth and fifth parts are already complete, and Sam Worthington has had a chance to read them.

In an interview with CBS Mornings, the actor admitted that the script for the fourth film was his favorite.

Plot details are not disclosed. It was previously reported that the film would feature an eight-year time jump.
