The release of the brutal soulslike Lords of the Fallen II has been postponed to 2027
The developers want to refine the project and avoid serious competition.
The launch of Lords of the Fallen II has been postponed. CI Games and Hexworks announced that the release of the Soulslike action RPG will not take place in autumn 2026, as previously planned, but in the first quarter of 2027.
The game will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, as well as on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Marek Tymiński, founder and CEO of CI Games, explained the decision by the need for additional project refinement. According to him, the team is working closely with a group of experienced soulslike fans who are part of the Gameplay Feedback Team. The feedback received helped identify a number of opportunities to improve gameplay and the overall quality of the project.
The developers intend to use the additional time to integrate new ideas, test them, and polish them to release the highest quality version of the game at launch.
CI Games also noted that the postponement will help avoid competition with the busy holiday season at the end of the year. The company expects that a release in early 2027 will help the project attract more audience attention.
The developers emphasized that they remain encouraged by players' reactions to the latest game showcases. The authors promised to share new details about the project in the coming months.
