Custom watch faces are now available for the Anbernic RG Rotate portable console
Thanks to a system update, the Anbernic RG Rotate portable console now allows you to personalize the watch face, choose hands to your liking, and even hide the notification panel so that nothing distracts you from the screen in clock mode.
Many retro gaming fans have taken a liking to the Anbernic RG Rotate. This is a portable console with an unusual 3.5-inch IPS screen (720×720 resolution), a Unisoc Tiger T618 chip, 3 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of internal storage. It is perfect for Game Boy, Game Gear, and Neo Geo games.
And let's not forget that this device is also advertised by developers as a watch. This means you can easily display the time on the screen when the console is not in use.
Until now, customization options were limited. But now, Anbernic employees have announced the release of system update 1.44 for the RG Rotate, which can be installed over-the-air (OTA) or downloaded from the official website. It adds the ability to customize the watch face and hide the notification panel so that nothing distracts from the screen in clock mode.
The update offers several ready-made presets to change the appearance of the displayed time. In addition, users can personalize the device by adding a background image and hands to their liking in a special folder.
Naturally, this is a small update. In fact, it only adds a customizable watch face and fixes some minor known bugs. Nevertheless, it will surely interest those who actually use the console as a watch.
