According to Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier, current Bungie head Justin Truman is leaving his position just 11 months after his appointment.

Prior to this, Truman held various leadership positions at the company, including Design Director for Destiny 2 and General Manager of the franchise. In total, the developer worked at the studio for almost 17 years.

Truman took over Bungie after the departure of former CEO Pete Parsons, who was repeatedly criticized by the community and former employees. Earlier, former Bungie writer Robert Brooks even called Parsons "the true killer of Destiny."

Bungie itself has not yet officially confirmed Truman's departure. The studio did not provide an immediate comment to media inquiries.

The alleged departure of the executive comes amidst a large-scale company restructuring. Bungie recently announced major layoffs, admitting that Destiny 2 "did not meet expectations" and the studio can no longer operate on its previous scale. Despite this, the developers state that the company still has several new projects in early stages of production.
