Rockstar is working on a 60 FPS mode for PS5 and Xbox Series X - Insider

Gaming journalist and insider Borys Niespielak stated on the Rock i Borys show that, according to his information, GTA VI will have two graphics modes on consoles. On PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X, players will allegedly be offered a choice between quality and performance modes, with the latter running at 60 FPS.

The situation with Xbox Series S is different – on Microsoft's junior console, only one mode at 30 FPS might be available. He noted that developers have long called the Series S the most challenging device to optimize for in the current generation.

And in the end, from the data I received, there should be two graphics modes: 30 and 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X. On Series S, for now, only 30 FPS, but, as I was told, they are fighting there with a large team from Microsoft, so perhaps something will change.

Borys also suggested that only one mode with 30 FPS might be available at launch, with the second being added later via a patch.

Why hasn't Rockstar announced the modes yet? Because it's news that is highly anticipated. I understand that many doubt whether it will be 30 or 60 frames per second, but, firstly, Rockstar has always released games at 30 frames per second at launch. Secondly, Red Dead Redemption currently runs on consoles at 30 frames per second. And, as far as I know, they are not 100% sure yet whether the 60 frames per second mode will be available at launch. So there is a possibility, for example, that it will appear in a patch.

Rockstar is allegedly not yet sure if they will be able to implement 60 FPS by launch, although this possibility remains.
