Recently, a user under the nickname Neha drew attention to the financial statements of Grinding Gear Games, the company that created the ARPG Path of Exile and PoE 2. The documents provide statistics on earnings from different platforms.

The data presented is "accounts receivable", i.e., the amount of funds owed to Grinding Gear Games as of the end of 2025. This is not "total revenue":

Since almost all accounts receivable are "younger" than 30 days, these figures generally reflect the relative scale of each distribution channel. However, small differences in payment schedules between partners mean that this is not an exact measure of revenue share, but only a reasonable approximate guideline. Nothing surprising for me here – except that money from Korea alone is several times higher than the revenue of the EGS store, which is also not surprising.

In the summary table, you can see that where Valve (Steam) accounts for almost 16 million New Zealand dollars, Epic Games has only 56 thousand. Overall, Grinding Gear Games' revenue for 2025 is estimated at 526 million New Zealand dollars, with a net profit of 379 million.

Previously, the developers of Path of Exile 2 released an update that added new content to the game and introduced an additional skill tree and other improvements.
