Short character profiles for the anime "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2" have appeared on the official CD PROJEKT RED website dedicated to the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. Only four heroes were officially introduced to the audience, but an empty slot with a silhouette and the caption "expected" was also left on the page.
The creators did not officially reveal the fifth character, but a Reddit user under the nickname Smets205 managed to uncover the character's dossier — according to a screenshot of the page, the fifth hero will be a woman named Avida.
Avida is a former jazz singer and corporate insider who tried to start a new life by becoming the wife of a top manager at the Kang-Tao corporation. However, the most interesting part lies in her connections: according to the profile, she is Wick's former lover and Talia's mother.
This may hint at a family drama that will unfold in Night City and has already become the basis for fan theories about a possible kinship between Wick and Talia. The intrigue is fueled by a short video, also unearthed on the website, where Wick and Talia have an argument, during which he grabs her hand.
In addition, attentive users noticed that viewers may have already seen Avida — she flashed in a one-second clip from a previous teaser.
Recall that the release of "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2" is scheduled for autumn 2026 on Netflix. Viewers can expect a standalone story, designed for 10 episodes.
