The streaming service reminded that 42 years have passed since the release of the original novel.

The streaming service Apple TV+ unveiled a new teaser for the upcoming science fiction series "Neuromancer," which adapts William Gibson's iconic 1984 novel of the same name. In the short clip, someone turns on an old analog television, after which the inscription "ASHPOOL 1" flashes on the black screen, followed by the legendary first line of the novel: "The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel."

Apple TV+ accompanied the publication with the caption:

"42 years ago, William Gibson introduced the world to 'Neuromancer.' Now, the next chapter is loading."

Thus, the new teaser does not reveal any details about the series itself or the progress of its production. So far, it is only known that Graham Roland and Justin Dillard are the showrunners of the project, and the author of the original novel, William Gibson, is participating in the adaptation as a consultant.

The main roles in the series are played by Callum Turner (Case) and Briana Middleton (Molly). The cast also includes Joseph Lee (Hideo), Mark Strong (Armitage), Peter Sarsgaard (John Ashpool), and Emma Laird (Linda Lee). The first season will consist of 10 episodes. The premiere date has not yet been announced.
