The marketing campaign for MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is gradually gaining momentum, and users have noticed that it is "not a game for everyone."

The publisher is PlayStation Publishing, and the game is subject to regional restrictions. According to SteamDB data, the sale of the game is prohibited not only in Russia and CIS countries (including Kazakhstan) but also in more than 100 countries worldwide.

Some players, like UnseenData, are very surprised that Sony PlayStation still adheres to a policy of restricting game sales in countries where PSN services are not officially represented.

The release of the fighting game MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is scheduled for August 6, 2026:

Choose from a roster of classic Marvel characters – 20 heroes and villains right at launch, with more to come. Each hero or villain is drawn in a vibrant anime style and belongs to one of the unique teams.

This has become another "minus" for Sony PlayStation – just recently, the company announced the abandonment of physical discs; reported that PS3 and PS Vita stores would soon be closed, and also warned customers that hundreds of movies would be deleted.
