Studio Pierrot unveiled the main trailer for the second season of the anime "Black Clover" with an opening by WANIMA
The adaptation of Yuki Tabata's manga returns with a sequel five years later.
At Anime Expo 2026, the second season of the anime "Black Clover" was presented. Attendees of the panel were the first to see the debut episode of the sequel, and for the rest of the audience, the creators released the main trailer and introduced the opening theme "Kienai Riyuu" performed by the Japanese rock band WANIMA.
Studio Pierrot is once again responsible for the production of the sequel. Ayataka Tanemura, who previously directed the final part of the original series and the feature film, remains the director. Minako Seki is again the composer, Keiichiro Ochi is responsible for the series composition, and Itsuko Takeda prepared the character designs.
The premiere of the second season of "Black Clover" will take place in October 2026. Fans have been waiting for the full return of the show for more than five years – the original 170-episode season (which some streaming services consider four seasons) ended back in March 2021. The feature film "Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King," released on Netflix in 2023, although it pleased the audience, was a standalone story and did not advance the main plot.
