The new film starring Tom Holland is poised to become the highest-grossing release of the summer.

With just over three weeks remaining until the premiere of the fourth solo film about Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – "Spider-Man: A New Day" – analysts are already predicting a record-breaking start for the blockbuster.

According to long-term estimates from Box Office Theory, the film is expected to gross around $228 million in its debut weekend in North America. If the forecast holds true, it will be the best opening of 2026, with the only potential competition being Marvel's December crossover, "Avengers: Doctor Doom."

Analysts estimate that even under a conservative scenario, "Spider-Man: A New Day" will earn at least $212 million, while the upper bound of the forecast reaches $255 million. The film's total North American gross is estimated at approximately $570 million, and if the film shows similar dynamics in international markets, it will have every chance to surpass the $1 billion mark in global box office.

Such high expectations from experts are directly related to the film's recent success during the pre-sale phase. It was previously announced that ticket sales for "Spider-Man: A New Day" had the best start in the last five years, second only to "Spider-Man: No Way Home" in 2021. However, analysts do not expect the new film to surpass the final gross of "No Way Home" ($1.9 billion), as the previous film became a true event thanks to the nostalgic crossover with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

The global premiere of "Spider-Man: A New Day" is scheduled for July 31, 2026.
