It recently became known about a major Xbox restructuring. Another round of layoffs will take place, and certain changes will be made to operations.

For example, an insider reported that Zenimax (which owns Bethesda Games Studios) will be restructured — it will focus on developing franchises such as: Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, Quake, Wolfenstein, and DOOM.

This caused some alarm and dissatisfaction in the community of another Bethesda game — Starfield. Some players believe that the studio will now abandon further development of the space action-RPG. The latest story expansion Terran Armada was released in April and received "mostly negative" reviews, and a new one has not yet been announced.

Such insider reports also caused some concern among Quake fans — they fear that id Software might turn Quake into a game in the style of modern DOOM. However, not everyone shares this opinion and expressed willingness to "give a chance" to a hypothetical Quake reboot or remake.

Bethesda is currently developing The Elder Scrolls VI; almost 10 years have passed since the game's announcement, and there is still no release date or window.

This summer, Xbox Chief Content Officer Matt Booty said in an interview that he had seen TES VI — he liked it, but he did not disclose details.
