The fighting game's open beta will run from July 24 to 26, with the full release scheduled for August 6.
Arc System Works has unveiled a new video from the Character Guide series, dedicated to Spider-Man in the fighting game Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. The video thoroughly demonstrates Peter Parker's abilities and fighting style.
In the game, Spider-Man retains his signature features. He can move in a crouch and cling to the ceiling, which opens up additional maneuverability options. The zipline move allows him to stun opponents or quickly close the distance by swinging on his web.
After this, he can use a flying kick to swiftly attack an opponent and continue the combo. An alternative option is to shoot a second web and finish the attack with a powerful throw. Even a blocking opponent will be pulled towards Spider-Man, making their defense less effective.
The hero's arsenal also includes web-shooting, which acts as long-range attacks, and sticky bombs that immobilize enemies. The spider-sense ability deserves special attention. In most situations, it is used as an evasion move, but when encountering the opposing team's leader, it transforms into a full-fledged counter-attack.
Super moves and ultimate attacks are also built around the hero's high mobility: Spider-Man swiftly moves with his web, delivers a series of quick strikes, and finishes the combo with a powerful final move.
Judging by the presented video, Peter Parker will be one of the most mobile characters in the roster, capable of effectively controlling space and constantly pressuring opponents thanks to diverse combos and opportunities for unexpected attacks.
