PlaySide Studios and Fumi Games announced that total sales of the noir first-person shooter MOUSE: P.I. for Hire, styled after classic cartoons, have exceeded 1 million copies.

According to the companies, game sales were almost equally distributed between platforms: approximately 50% on consoles and the remaining 50% on PC.

MOUSE: P.I. for Hire was released on April 16 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam and Microsoft Store). Versions for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch are under development and will be released later. Additionally, physical editions for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 went on sale on July 10.

Fumi Games founder and CEO Mateusz Michalak thanked players for their support, noting that the team did not expect such a massive success for the project.

The fact that MOUSE: P.I. for Hire has surpassed the one million player mark fills our team with immense gratitude. It started as a simple idea for a shooter in the style of 1930s cartoons, and in the end, the game was able to attract many more people than we could have imagined. We always put players first and continued to work on the project both during development and after release.

He also reminded that a major update for the game was recently released with the Level Revisit feature, physical editions have appeared, and in the future, the authors plan to release a story expansion. According to the head of the studio, the team hopes that fans will find many more interesting things in the world of MOUSE: P.I. for Hire.
