According to insider Dusk Golem, work on Resident Evil 1 Remake started around August–September 2025. However, full production of the game has not yet begun – the team plans to move to this stage after completing the main work on the Resident Evil Code: Veronica remake.
Dusk Golem previously reported that a remake of the first Resident Evil was in development, but at the time it was noted that its release was still several years away. New information indicates that the project is gradually moving forward, although the active phase of creation has not yet started.
The insider also spoke about the status of other remakes in the series. According to his data, full development of Resident Evil Zero Remake began back in 2022.
As for Resident Evil Code: Veronica, according to Dusk Golem, the project is currently in an intensive final development phase. At the same time, the game is reportedly significantly ahead of its initial production schedule.
