Scopely reorganized the team working on the multiplayer arcade game Stumble Guys and laid off some employees. The company did not disclose the exact number of affected positions, calling it "insignificant."
"We regularly evaluate the performance of our games to ensure the best possible experience for players. Following a recent review, we decided to reorganize the team supporting Stumble Guys, which may affect a limited number of positions. We were also able to transfer a number of affected employees to other departments within the company. For the small number of employees who will not remain at Scopely, we are providing support in finding new opportunities and express our immense gratitude for their contributions to Scopely and our gaming community."
Scopely did not specify which Stumble Guys metrics led to the reorganization, nor did it say whether the personnel changes would affect the update release schedule. The game continues to operate on mobile devices, PC, and consoles. However, according to SteamDB, its peak online concurrent players on Steam has not exceeded 5,000 since last year.
