Baldur's Gate 3 Star Replaced in Tides of Annihilation - Voice Actress Unable to Continue Work on the Game

The actress who voiced Shadowheart in Baldur's Gate 3 helped find a new performer for the role in Tides of Annihilation.

It was expected that voice actress Jennifer English would participate in Tides of Annihilation. However, in July, Eclipse Glow Games studio announced that she had left the project.

Jennifer voiced Gwendolyn in the English version of the game, but can no longer continue working on the role "due to personal health reasons."

The developers stated that they have already found a replacement:

Thanks to Jennifer's support and advice, as well as recommendations from other cast members, we were fortunate to find an incredibly talented actress to play Gwendolyn. Her recent acting work in video games made a strong impression on both Jennifer and our team — not only by the performance itself, but also by the attention and dedication with which she approached understanding the character. We look forward to the moment when players can get acquainted with her interpretation of Gwendolyn.

The project is planned to be brought to Gamescom 2026, where a playable demo will be offered. Players will be able to hear the voice of the new actress.
