A year later, Denuvo was cracked in Assassin's Creed Shadows without using a hypervisor
Some PC gamers postponed getting acquainted with the project due to the presence of Denuvo.
The PC version of Assassin's Creed Shadows was protected with Denuvo, but earlier this year, tech enthusiasts found a way around it. However, at that time, a "hypervisor" method was used, meaning the protection was bypassed. To run such "cracks," players have to take additional risks, as it requires disabling security systems.
However, in mid-July, a famous hacker under the nickname voices38 announced the crack of Assassin's Creed Shadows. This is not a DRM bypass, but a full-fledged "old-school" crack of the protection. Players will not have to disable PC protection. voices38 has not yet announced which game they plan to crack next.
Assassin's Creed Shadows was released last year. The project transported players to an era they had long dreamed of — feudal Japan, where they controlled a pair of characters: the samurai Yasuke and the shinobi Naoe. The story expansion Claws of Awaji is available for the game.
Earlier this summer, the release of the "old-new" installment of the franchise took place — Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, a remake of AC IV.
