Roguelike shooter Armatus to be released in January. The game is being developed by the creators of Godfall
The project is being created for PC and consoles.
Publisher Fictions and Counterplay Games studio, known for the action game Godfall, have announced the release date for their new project — Armatus. The third-person roguelike shooter will be released on January 17 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2. The game will also be available on Game Pass.
Armatus takes place in the ruins of Paris, experiencing a true apocalypse. The city has fallen under the power of demons, reality is slowly crumbling, and the remaining humans hide behind sacred barriers, believing themselves to be the last representatives of humanity.
The player will take on the role of the last supernatural warrior of an ancient order. The hero is armed with firearms, a scythe, and celestial abilities. His main goal is to fight his way through demon-infested Paris and find the lost gates to paradise, known as the Sunless Gate.
As the game progresses, the familiar streets of the French capital will transform into increasingly dark and surreal hellish locations. The hero will face constantly strengthening and increasingly grotesque demonic creatures.
